Every year at CHEO, thousands of units of blood products
are transfused into sick and injured infants, children and teens. Without this
blood, many of the lifesaving procedures performed at CHEO would not be
possible. The blood you donate through Canadian Blood Services gives our
patients a better chance for a healthy life.
Blood donation does not cost money and requires little
time. It does, however, make a big difference. CHEO invites you to donate blood
through one of the many blood donor clinics organized by the Canadian Blood Services. In addition to these clinics the CBS Bloodmobile
regularly visits CHEO to provide an on-site blood donor clinic. The dates of the CHEO Bloodmobile
clinics vary throughout the year.

encouraged to book an appointment ahead of time, however, if this is not
convenient, please note that many walk-in appointments are also available the
day of the Bloodmobile clinic.
