Thank you for expressing an interest in CHEO-OCTC’s Volunteer Program. Please note that our volunteer needs fluctuate through the year and as a result our need for new recruits varies. When we have an opening that matches your availability, you will be contacted to attend a group interview. Your contact information will be kept on file for one year. If you have not heard from us after one year, we invite you to please re-apply.
If contacted to participate in the recruitment process, Steps 1 - 4 (see below) can take months to complete.
Step 1: To express interest in volunteering at CHEO-OCTC, you must read this Information Booklet
Step 2: complete this e-Application Form. Your contact information will be kept on file for one year. Many current CHEO-OCTC volunteers keep their assignment for years, so the need for new recruits varies.
Step 3: You may be invited to attend a group interview.
Step 4: If you are selected to volunteer at CHEO-OCTC, you will be required to supply the following documentation, at your own cost:

Immunizations: Proof of vaccination dates, or blood test results for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (Chicken Pox).
- Vulnerable Sector Check: CHEO - OCTC can accept an existing Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last two years. Should you need to obtain a new check a letter CHEO-OCTC will provide a letter to waive the fee.
- References: Two professional references (not be family members or peers).
Step 5: You will also be required to attend a group orientation session. This is separate from any role-specific training that you will receive.
