POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to provide clerical and reception support services that will facilitate an efficient work environment for the patient, families and staff, whose activities contribute to the provision of family centered care within the unit and institution.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
§ Coordinates all non nursing activities of the unit
§ Performs reception duties in directing staff and visitors and maintaining hospital communication systems
§ Acts as a liaison between parent/patient/physician and Hospital staff
§ Process ED charts as per departmental protocols
§ Other related duties as requested by the Supervisor or Director
QUALIFICATIONS
§ Police Record Check (PRC) (Essential)
§ Secondary School Diploma (Essential)
§ Bilingualism (French/English) (Essential)
§ Minimum three (3) months clerical experience (Essential)
§ Demonstrated superior organizational, communication & interpersonal skills (Essential)
§ Demonstrated ability to take initiative & work with minimal supervision (Essential)
§ Two (2) years of previous Emergency registration experience (Preferred)
§ Previous experience working in Emergency environment (Preferred)
§ Previous experience using current ADT system (Preferred)
§ Medical terminology (Preferred)
