CHEO seeks three volunteers to join its Board of Trustees

CHEO is currently recruiting for three community leaders to join its Board of Trustees, replacing three trustees who will be stepping down at the end of June when their terms are completed.

CHEO’s Board of Trustees is made up of 12 volunteers from the community and four ex-officio members. Given the current composition of the Board, we are seeking at least one person with financial expertise and one with legal expertise. We are also looking for volunteers who have experience in the larger corporate or the broader public sectors. Preferably, candidates would have a good knowledge of the health care environment, including children and youth health issues, and would already be actively involved in their community.

Candidates must be available to regularly attend the monthly board meetings and at least one committee meeting per month, plus dedicate a few hours a month to read required documentation and attend other functions, as needed. They should be willing to represent CHEO in the community and use their influence to help achieve CHEO long-term goals.

Mandates are for three years, renewable twice.

Those interested should send their resume by e-mail to the CEO and secretary of the Board at by May 8. You can also obtain more information by contacting the office of the CEO at 613-737-2201.
