CHEO Psychologists Speak to Families in Cornwall
The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and the Cornwall Community Hospital will be hosting An Evening of Information for families on March 19th at the General Vanier Public School. Expert speakers will discuss a variety of psychological issues affecting the community to mark national psychology month.

Sessions include:

  • Bullying – Not Just Kidding Around– Dr. Phil Ritchie & Ms. Mary Simmering-McDonald
  • Communicating with the Teenage Brain– Dr. Peter Anderson & Ms. Erika Penner
  • Fostering Positive Behaviours in Your Young Child– Dr. Anne-Lise Holahan
  • Parenting in Middle Childhood – Setting the Stage– Dr. Simone Kortsee & Ms. Jennifer Vriend
  • Parenting Your Anxious Child– Dr. Marie-Josee Lefaivre & Ms. Laila Din-Osmun
  • Self-Esteem: The Real Deal– Dr. Shari Mayman 

The event will take place from 6:45 to 7:45 atGeneralVanierPublic School, located at1500 Cumberland StreetinCornwall,Ontario. It is part of CHEO’s community outreach program designed to provide care and education to families outside CHEO’s walls.
