CHEO Proud To Be Recognized As A Top Employer in Region

Ottawa, February 7, 2013 - The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) has again been recognized as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers for 2013.

The National Capital Region’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by MediaCorp Canada Inc. The competition recognizes the Ottawa-area employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.

Selection criteria include workplace atmosphere, benefits, employee communications, training and skills development, and community involvement.

“One of the first things I noticed when I joined the CHEO team in 2011 is that there is such a strong sense of purpose that permeates the culture of CHEO,” said Alex Munter, CHEO chief executive officer. “Being named one of our region’s Top Employers reinforces what it is we do here every day. It also reflects the dedication and efforts of so many people to make this a positive, enjoyable workplace.”

CHEO is a unique organization – small enough to care, and big enough to make a difference. CHEO offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package; a "family-friendly" environment that supports staff and their families, as well as our patients and their families; a chance to grow personally and professionally through a comprehensive orientation program and on-the-job learning; support for continued; and a truly unique work environment.
