CHEO Proud To Be Recognized As a Top Employer in Region
Ottawa, February 5, 2015 - The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) has once again been recognized as one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers for 2015.

The National Capital Region’s Top Employers is an annual competition organized by MediaCorp Canada Inc. The competition recognizes the Ottawa-area employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.

Selection criteria include workplace atmosphere, benefits, employee communications, training and skills development, and community involvement.

“CHEO is committed to not only providing exceptional patient care, but also ensuring that our staff members are proud of the work they do at CHEO. Our satisfaction survey shows that our staff and physicians are proud to tell others that they are part of the CHEO family,” said Alex Munter, CHEO’s chief executive officer.

Last year marked CHEO’s 40th anniversary and recognized the dedication and hard work of its staff members and volunteers, some of whom have been with CHEO since its opening in 1974. “It is the combined effort of every single individual who works at CHEO that makes it such a positive and supportive workplace,” said Mr. Munter.

CHEO is a unique organization – small enough to care, and big enough to make a difference. CHEO offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package; a "family-friendly" environment that supports staff and their families, as well as our patients and their families; a chance to grow personally and professionally through a comprehensive orientation program and on-the-job learning; support for continued education; and a truly unique work environment.
