Big winners announced in CHEO’s Dream of a Lifetime Lottery

Earlier today the draws were made for the first and second prizes in the sold out 2015 edition of CHEO’s Dream of a Lifetime Lottery during the CTV News at Noon. The winner for the 50/50 Draw was also announced.

We congratulate Val Murray and Sara Porter, ticket number 010436, who have won the Grand Prize package that is worth over $1.7 million and includes the Minto Dream Home with all furnishings by La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, $100,000 in cash, a 2016 Chevy Camaro 2SS from Myers Automotive Group, house cleaning for a year, and $5,000 in groceries from Farm Boy.

Lyne and Celeste Blanchard and Francis Landry, ticket number 047765 have won the second prize that is worth over $161,000 and includes $100,000 cash, a 2016 Nissan Rogue SL, AWD from Myers Automotive Group, a $10,000 Gift Certificate from Jubilee Jewelers, a seven day Eastern or Western Caribbean Cruise for two from Destination Anywhere, and an Ottawa Senators 100 Level Flex 40 Season Tickets Package.

The winners of the 50/50 Draw are Gail Lynch and Doug Heath, ticket number 648561. The jackpot reached a total of $1,084,410 which means Gail and Doug take home $544,705.

A list of all winning ticket numbers will be printed in the Ottawa Citizen and Le Droit on Friday, January 8th, 2016. Ticket holders can also check their tickets online at as of 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 7th. A complete list of all winning numbers will also be available on the web site. All winners will receive a confirmation letter from KPMG within two weeks outlining how to claim their prize.

The 2015 Dream of a Lifetime Lottery set another new record for money raised with over $3.1 million benefitting the kids at CHEO. On behalf of all the children, youth and families who rely on CHEO, the Foundation sincerely thanks all of our ticket buyers and sponsors. Their continued support helps the hospital purchase much needed equipment, conduct vital research, train staff, and make life better for CHEO’s kids.
