The Volunteer Association of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario supports volunteer and community resources to enhance the care provided to children, youth and families. The Volunteer Association strives for excellence and aims to provide proactive and innovative leadership in the field of voluntarism in healthcare.

Volunteering offers you the special satisfaction of enhancing the care provided to children, youth and their families. As an active CHEO volunteer you are a member of the Volunteer Association and are encouraged to become involved with their activities. The Volunteer Association has a long standing history of fundraising which provides necessary equipment and program support for children and youth. These funds are raised through the Coffee Shop and HELPP Lottery.

In 1996 the Volunteer Association launched the Coffee Cart. This portable "coffee shop" serves outpatient clinics and public and patient areas. The HELPP Lottery operates in many hospitals in Ontario. The funds raised by the volunteers are kept separate from the Associations' general funds and are used to assist the hospital in the purchase of equipment.
