Our partners

At CHEO, we provide exceptional care and advance how children, youth and families obtain it through partnerships in research, education, care and community services.

Partners in building community support

CHEO Foundation

CHEO benefits from the support of a generous community. The CHEO Foundation and many volunteers in the community work together to build that support, which helps the hospital provide a wide variety of pediatric programs, research, state-of the art equipment, medical and nursing education, and assistance for families in crisis.

Partners in research

CHEO Research Institute

The CHEO Research Institute is the research arm of CHEO and a significant part of the University of Ottawa’s faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences. As a result of this partnership, discoveries are now achieving worldwide impact, delivered as solutions for patients, and taught to health-care professionals in our own community first!

Partners in education

University of Ottawa

Part of CHEO’s mission is training the next generation of health professionals. Our major partner in this work is the University of Ottawa. Many of CHEO’s health professionals and researchers also teach in the university’s faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences. At the same time, medical and health sciences students of all levels learn on the job at CHEO.
