  • CHEO, Ontario government break ground on new Integrated Treatment Centre

    The new CHEO Integrated Treatment Centre is one step closer to reality. Construction of the new, fully accessible and state-of-the-art treatment centre began with a ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

  • CHEO awarded exemplary status for providing safe and quality care to children and youth

    CHEO has achieved the highest level possible in its accreditation process, earning exemplary status from Accreditation Canada, the independent agency that rates the quality and safety of Canadian health-care organizations. CHEO met 2,745 of the 2,760 standards against which it was assessed – a result of 99.5%. CHEO also achieved all 30 required organizational practices in areas like safety, medication management, infection control and communication.
