Ottawa — With safety top of mind, the Kids Come First Health Team has come together for some of the region’s most vulnerable children and youth — those who are, or at risk of, experiencing maltreatment, such as abuse or neglect — during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When will CHEO resume elective surgeries and in-person clinical services?

On May 14, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that hospitals can begin offering scheduled surgeries and procedures, and non-urgent in-person clinical services when they meet the province’s criteria to do so safely.

Champlain Region, May 15, 2020 – Health-care teams in the Champlain region have successfully tested residents in all 60 local long-term care homes ahead of the provincial government’s May 15 deadline.
Over the last three weeks more than 7,000 residents and 8,000 staff have been tested by teams comprised of hospital staff, public health, and paramedics.
