OTTAWA — For the second year running, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is ranked No. 1 among health-care and social-sector employers, moving into the Top 10 at position 10 on Forbes’ list of Canada’s Best Employers. CHEO joins Google, Ubisoft, NAV Canada and Toronto Hydro in the top 10 best places to work in Canada.

Ottawa hospitals lead awards for life-saving organ donations

Five Ottawa hospitals are being recognized by Trillium Gift of Life Network for their life-saving organ donation work — the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), Hôpital Montfort, Queensway Carleton Hospital, The Ottawa Hospital and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Each hospital is being awarded the Hospital Achievement – Conversion Rate Award, given to hospitals that meet or exceed Trillium Gift of Life Network’s provincial target.

On October 21, a new patient health information system designed to improve care and safety will be turned on at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). It’s a major step in consolidating patient health records, where every patient has one digital health record that is comprehensive and immediately available to care providers throughout the hospital and beyond.
