Feb. 25, 2026, Ottawa, Ont. - CHEO welcomed a delegation of Canadian senators for a visit to showcase the organization’s leadership in pediatric health, research, and innovation.
On Feb. 25, senators explored the vision behind the Integrated Treatment Centre (ITC), part of CHEO’s broader transformation plan, as work continued on the building just steps away.
They also visited one of our labs to learn about groundbreaking and world-renowned rare‑disease research from Think Rare and Care4Rare.
Senators then spent time with the Eating Disorders Program, hearing about national leadership in youth mental health and the growth of specialized services like the partial hospitalization program, a first-in-Canada program that gives patients important flexibility and autonomy while receiving life-changing care.
