April 5, 2024 - Ottawa ON – With Monday’s solar eclipse affecting some local businesses and schools, here is what to expect if children, youth and their families/caregivers are planning to come to CHEO:
-
Scheduled appointments: At CHEO, appointments and care will continue as scheduled on April 8. Please plan accordingly, especially if your appointment is during the same period.
-
Inpatients: For those who are hospitalized or staying at the hospital, we will be closing blinds in rooms and areas that may be impacted. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your care team to discuss.
-
CHEO School/Pre-School: Please note that CHEO School and CHEO Pre-School will be closed on April 8.
-
If you are seeking emergency care: Never hesitate to seek the care you need, but please be mindful about the solar eclipse and how it may affect your child and the traffic around you.
