Ottawa, ON, January 24, 2023 – On #BellLetsTalk Day, CHEO and CHEO Foundation, through the generous funding of Bell, are proud to launch a six-part video series of mental health education workshops to support families and caregivers of children and youth.
The series features six key topics where CHEO clinicians and health-care workers provide insights and tips for parents and caregivers. The first video, launched today, focuses on technology dependence and is led by renowned clinical psychologist and researcher, Dr. Neil Gottheil. The five remaining videos will be released in the next few days and feature: Teens and intense emotions; Parenting your anxious child; Hope and healing: Working with our nervous systems; Teaching our kids to self-regulate; Accommodating for your child’s ADHD at home.

The series will be a key feature on CHEO’s YouTube channel as part of CHEO’s involvement with YouTube Health, a global initiative aimed at offering equitable access to reliable health information. CHEO is proud to be included with other reputable Canadian organizations in helping parents and caregivers find reliable, evidence-based and accurate information to support their children and youth.
CHEO also offers several mental health resources and support and is a key partner in 1Call1Click.ca.
