Ottawa's first COVID-19 Assessment Centre opens today

Ottawa – Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is taking proactive measures in the COVID-19 response by partnering with The Ottawa Hospital and CHEO to open a COVID-19 Assessment Centre. The centre will be used exclusively for the purpose of COVID-19 assessments and testing.

The first COVID-19 Assessment Centre opens today at noon at the Brewer Arena, located at 151 Brewer Way. The facility will be open from 9 am to 8 pm, daily. Additional COVID-19 Assessment Centres may open later as needed.

CHEO celebrates International Women’s Day with meet-and-greet

OTTAWA (ONTARIO), March 6, 2020 — A group of female staff from across CHEO will participate in an informal meet-and-greet with fellow staff, children, youth and families as part of International Women’s Day (March 8). These women were all nominated by our community and staff members because they inspire others. This year’s group includes researchers, family advisory council members, nurses, physicians and food service workers.
