The Maureen Tourangeau Award
This award is awarded annually at the fall Service Recognition awards to the volunteer who has completed the most volunteer hours in the year previous. Maureen was a lifelong volunteer and community leader, and gave over 50 years of service to CHEO - one of CHEO's original volunteers - helping build what we are today. Hélène Rompré
Hélène Rompré has been volunteering at CHEO since 2018, contributing a whopping 207 hours in 2020-2021, a year where we spent a great deal of time with our programming on pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Incredible. Hélène Rompré is known around CHEO to be a friendly, smiling face, who you can hear a mile away due to her love of singing and laughter. We are lucky to have her.
