Accreditation
In 2019 Accreditation Canada, the agency that accredits the quality and safety of Canadian health-care organizations, has awarded CHEO the highest rating possible — full accreditation with exemplary standing — for meeting 2,388 of 2,395 standards, including all 30 required organizational practices.

Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO)
CHEO has partnered with the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) and is currently in the pre-designate phase of becoming a BPSO. As a BPSO Hospital, CHEO will be implementing five Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs), based on current best evidence. This exciting opportunity will offer nurses, and other health care providers, additional tools, support and resources to assist children and youth to live their best life.
